Our state-of-the-art, 27,500 square foot facility houses all the equipment necessary to provide our customers with efficient, cost-effective production. Coupled with our experienced and highly skilled workers, this combination produces the finest jet engine service tools and critical flight safety parts and assemblies in the industry today. Job Description: Cambridge Specialty Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Tool Setter and Crib Attendant to support growth in a manufacturing environment focused on complex aerospace machining. This role will support daily manufacturing activities and planning to assure the machining department operates efficiently, supplying tooling and related holders and equipment that meet exact specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment in labeled, organized locations.Maintain accurate inventory records and logs, tracking issued, damaged, worn, or missing items.Monitor and maintain consumable stock levels (e.g., drill bits, fasteners, safety gear), and take full ownership of the purchase order process for all tooling - including creating, entering, and submitting POs to vendors, and liaising directly with suppliers to manage lead times and resolve order issues.Maintain history and work with planning on tool usage and inventory levels to support budgeting and planning.Issue tools to authorized personnel, verify condition, and document transactions.Perform routine inspections of tooling and equipment for wear, defects, or damage; coordinate repairs or replacements.Organize and maintain the tool crib area to meet safety and storage standards.Use a presetter to set cutting tools to precise dimensions based on tool and set-up sheets.Validate tool specifications using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.Calibrate presetters as needed to ensure accuracy.Interpret tool lists and job order priorities to determine correct tool setup.Maintain tool usage, damage, and breakage reports and any daily work/summary reports.Coordinate any tool regrinding or modifications with internal or external suppliersOrganize tools and manufacturing supplies within the tool crib area.Qualifications:Proficiency with measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) and basic shop math.Ability to operate and calibrate a tool presetter.Knowledge of tool accountability, foreign object damage prevention, and safety programs.Familiarity with JobBoss or other MRP systems (a plus) as well as Microsoft 365 programs.Strong organizational and inventory management abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy in tool setup and documentation.Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment (PPE, equipment handling).Communication skills to coordinate with production teams and vendors.High school diploma or equivalent.2-3 years of related experience in a tool crib or manufacturing environment preferred.Experience with vendors, invoicing, and tool repair coordination.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsManual dexterity and good hand-eye coordinationWork Environment:Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluidsUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
