Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate supports laboratory and production operations by preparing and testing oil samples using established oil analysis techniques. This role involves sample layout, preparation, and operation of analytical instruments, as well as basic troubleshooting of instrumentation. The Production Associate works efficiently to deliver accurate, high-quality results while minimizing repeated tests and ensuring proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste.
Responsibilities
- Apply oil analysis techniques in the preparation and testing of oil samples for various applications.
- Organize and lay out samples according to established procedures and schedules.
- Prepare samples for analysis, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and proper labeling.
- Operate laboratory instrumentation and follow defined procedures for analysis.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on instrumentation to resolve minor issues and maintain workflow.
- Complete all assigned duties in a timely and efficient manner to achieve high-quality, reliable results while minimizing the need for repeat testing.
- Handle laboratory waste responsibly and dispose of it in the appropriate containers according to guidelines.
- Use touch screens and computer systems to input data, track samples, and follow work instructions.
- Perform additional related duties as needed to support the satisfactory completion of production and laboratory tasks.
Essential Skills- Ability to work with production processes in a small manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sample preparation and analysis.
- Comfort and proficiency with touch screens and computer-based systems.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions consistently.
- Capability to troubleshoot basic issues with instrumentation under guidance.
- Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently and meet production and testing timelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Basic computer skills, including navigating software and entering data using touch screens and standard interfaces.
- Willingness to learn oil analysis techniques and laboratory procedures through on-the-job training.
- Flexibility to train on a first shift schedule and then transition to a mid or second shift as needed.
- Strong reliability, work ethic, and character, with a focus on quality and accountability in daily tasks.

Work Environment
The role is based in a small manufacturing and production environment that includes laboratory-style work with oil samples and analytical instrumentation. You will regularly use computer screens, touch screens, and basic computer programs to complete tasks and record data. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with primary coverage on second shift (for example, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), and initial training provided on first shift before transitioning to a mid or second shift schedule (such as 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. to around 7:00 p.m., depending on operational needs). The environment is structured and process-oriented, with clear procedures for sample handling, analysis, and waste disposal.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.60 - $17.60/hr.
