Job description

Job Summary (in list format):
- Serve as Program Director for the State’s Pregnancy Smoking Cessation Program within the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion section.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of statewide pregnancy smoking cessation initiatives.
- Oversee program budget, contracts, and ensure cost-effective program expansion.
- Supervise preparation of program reports and documentation.
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategies and goals to enhance program impact.
- Provide program management and technical consultation for field staff and community partners.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve conflicts and address grievances with program partners.
- Ensure delivery and implementation of educational resources for community partners.
- Communicate and interpret program policies and procedures to staff and stakeholders.
- Serve as liaison with governmental entities, social and community agencies, and other partners to promote program objectives.
- Offer subject matter expertise on evidence-based interventions for reducing smoking during pregnancy.
- Collaborate with evaluation teams on needs assessments, surveys, and program evaluation activities.
- Design and implement innovative practices addressing social determinants of health and supporting at-risk populations.
- Create and disseminate program messaging through social media, press releases, and educational materials.
- Ensure compliance with grant and program requirements and contribute to annual contract renewals.
- Hybrid work arrangement with in-person onboarding and quarterly meetings in Nashville, TN.
- Must be a Tennessee resident; travel for site visits reimbursed (not for office commuting).
- Requires bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of professional health program experience, and at least 1 year in a supervisory or statewide program oversight role.
