Job Description

This role focuses on building and assembling industrial control panels using electrical schematics and blueprints in a light technical manufacturing environment. You will work with a variety of tools and components to create high-quality control panels while developing valuable skills in a growing trade.

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble industrial control panels by following electrical schematics and blueprints.

  • Construct wire harnesses and ensure clean, organized routing of wiring.
  • Run electrical wires from point-to-point within the control panels according to design specifications.
  • Install electronic and mechanical components securely and correctly in control panels.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, air tools, and torque tools safely and effectively during assembly.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams to complete assemblies correctly.
  • Perform basic quality checks on assembled panels to ensure proper wiring, connections, and component placement.
  • Work collaboratively within different production cells to build various types of panels for multiple industries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures at all times.

Essential Skills

  • Comfort working with electronic and mechanical components during assembly.
  • Basic understanding of wiring, assembly, and point-to-point electrical connections.
  • Willingness to learn control panel building as a skilled trade.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and tools safely.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as in a team setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
