Job description

Receptionist/Teammates Program Specialist

Applications are being accepted for an 8-hour per day Receptionist/Teammates Program Specialist position at the Welcome Center. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills by greeting and directing visitors to appropriate places. The candidate will be required to answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate person or building. The candidate is required to schedule and coordinate meeting room reservations and prepare signage for rooms. This position will be focused on the day to day operations of the Teammates Mentoring Program. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, good proofreading skills, and strong supervisory ability in working with students and adults. Must have excellent computer skills for assisting with management of software programs for communication needs as well as data entry support for other district level departments. The desired candidate must possess strong secretarial skills such as typing, filing tasks, office machine operations, proofreading and/or editing materials and other duties as assigned. The desired candidate should be capable of fulfilling his/her responsibilities with minimum supervision. Required qualifications are that the applicants not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veteran's preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
