BAADER TECHNICIAN

Phoenix Processor LP is hiring an experienced Baader Technicians to work on our processing vessel, the MV Excellence.

The ship operates at sea approximately 9 months of the year. Technicians may set a rotation schedule splitting time between at sea work and port work when the ship is at Pier 90/91 in Seattle.

While working at sea hours are 12 on and 12 off, 7 days per week. Pay is a guaranteed day rate with bonus opportunity based on production. Day rate is paid twice monthly and bonus is paid 10 business days after the end of each fishing season. Rates are negotiated according to experience; we are highly competitive in industry rates.

Working at sea the conditions can be cold and wet. You must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, work around moving machinery, climb, stoop, kneel and crouch as necessary to perform job duties.

Requirements

Maintenance and repair of Baader mechanical and electrical systems for fish fillet machines

Train processing crew in operating and safety procedures for fish fillet machines

Able to make necessary adjustments to equipment as to meet product specifications

Understanding of product recovery and able to test and make adjustments as necessary

Experience with computerized maintenance management systems to control parts ordering and inventory

Work as a team with the Factory Engineering Department, Production Manager and Quality Control Manager to ensure quality product

You must pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in our random drug testing program.

Benefits

You would earn a daily wage with a bonus based on production. (Average annual pay range $80,000 to $140,000). The daily wage is paid every two weeks; the case rate bonus is paid 10 business days after the end of each fishing season. After 60 days, you qualify for health benefits (medical, dental and vision) and after one year, life insurance and enrollment in our 401k plan (with company match).
