Gateway- Behavior Support Specialist

How you can help: Support individuals diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability in a day program setting. Assist with behavioral skills development, basic living skills, socialization skills and integrating them into the community. You will teach, learn and interact with our persons served to help them reach their potential by utilizing positive behavior supports. Perform or assist individuals served with personal hygiene and basic domestic duties

7 things you NEED to Know: (AKA: Requirements)

  • Must have High School Diploma, GED, or Work-Keys Bronze Certificate
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Valid Driver's License for at least 2 years with a good driving record.
  • Must be available for 2-4 weeks of PAID training, M-F 8:30am-5:00pm.
  • ASL (American Sign Language) preferred
