Job description

The Adams County Adult Correctional Complex is seeking a full-time Correctional Program Specialist.
As a Correctional Program Specialist, you will be responsible for participating in the treatment and rehabilitation of participants of the Transition to Success program while maintaining appropriate safety and security practices.
The primary function of this position is to provide operational and treatment support to participants of the Transition to Success program, to include work release participants.

Qualifications:

  1. Be at least 21 years of age preferred (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).
  2. High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree in related field preferred.
  3. PA DOC Corrections Officer Basic Training Certificate (can be obtained after hire).
  4. First Aid, CPR certification (can be obtained after hire)
  5. Previous experience in a Correctional Facility is preferred, but not required.
  6. Must have FBI clearance via fingerprint prior to hire and renew annually

Required documentation:

  1. Online internal application
  2. Resumé and cover letter are encouraged, but not required

Compensation: $22.50/hour base rate
(lateral transfer for current ACACC Corrections Officers with $1/hour incentive pay)
Full-time, AFSCME Union position

Hours:
Three (3) twelve and one-quarter (12.25) hour days one week, four (4) twelve and one-quarter (12.25) hour days the following week. Total of 85.75 hours per pay period
