Day Program Adults With Disability Jobs in Florida

Guardian Haven Academy ABA is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and eager-to-learn Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our growing team. This opportunity is particularly well suited for a newly certified or early-career BCBA who is looking to build meaningful clinical experience while working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Our BCBA will provide behavior analytic services in natural, community-based environments, including group homes and adult day program settings. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while receiving support and guidance as you grow into your role.

This position may begin with a part-time or full-time direct-care/clinical focus, with opportunities to expand into clinical leadership, case management, program development, and other advanced responsibilities based on your experience, performance, and professional goals.

What You'll Do

• Provide behavior analytic services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group home and day program environments.
• Conduct observations, assessments, data collection, and ongoing clinical monitoring.
• Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized behavior support plans.
• Provide training, coaching, and clinical guidance to direct-care staff and other members of the individual's support team.
• Monitor behavioral data and make data-informed recommendations to improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with program staff, caregivers, families, guardians, and other members of the individual's care team.
• Support individuals in developing functional communication, independent living, social, vocational, and community-based skills.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Develop a strong understanding of the Florida Medicaid Waiver system, including documentation, service requirements, authorizations, and compliance expectations.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, treatment planning, and quality-improvement activities.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards consistent with the BACB Ethics Code and applicable laws and regulations.

Compensation & Schedule

• $60–$75 per hour for BCBA services
• Part-time and full-time opportunities available
• Initial caseload will be developed collaboratively based on experience, clinical interests, availability, and comfort level.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
• Master's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or a related field as required for BCBA certification.
• Strong interest in working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Compassionate, patient, and person-centered approach to care.
• Willingness to learn adult service models and the Florida Medicaid Waiver system.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with direct-care staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professionalism, reliability, flexibility, and sound clinical judgment.
• Ability to work in group home and community-based environments.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned group homes and day program locations as needed.
