Job description

This position is for temporary engagement through our staffing partner, Yoh Enterprise Solutions. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for this position.

Sony Bend Studio, the creator of Days Gone, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and the Syphon Filter series, is looking for a collaborative and experienced Senior Producer to join our team in crafting our next high-profile title.

In this role, you will partner with creative leads and studio directors to develop, maintain, and execute project plans for your teams. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strong project management skills, clear communication, and a shared enthusiasm for creating great games. Help us build our next exciting project!

Key Responsibilities
  • Roadmap & Strategy: Drive the production roadmap for key areas of the game, in partnership with discipline leads and project leadership, shaping the delivery strategy for multiple cross-discipline teams.
  • Planning & Alignment: Partner with discipline leads and project leadership to translate creative and technical goals into achievable plans, managing milestone definitions, staffing needs, and risk forecasting.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Drive day-to-day production decisions for your area, coordinate project-wide dependencies, and handle scope and prioritization tradeoffs.
  • Resource Management: Manage capacity planning, team sequencing, and resource needs, identifying staffing gaps and outsourcing opportunities in partnership with leadership.
  • Planning Facilitation: Drive sprint, milestone, and roadmap planning for your teams - ensuring goals are clear, and work is appropriately estimated. Facilitate key ceremonies such as standups, retrospectives, and bug triages.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Provide leadership with clear, timely visibility into schedules, scope, quality, and dependency risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Shape scalable production frameworks, reporting standards, and planning practices to support team predictability and well-being.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other producers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
What We Are Looking For
  • Shipped Game Experience: Professional experience driving game features or major project areas through full production cycles on large, cross-discipline teams.
  • Production Expertise: Solid understanding of game development pipelines and project management methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency utilizing Jira (or similar project management tools) for backlog management, tracking, and reporting.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to build consensus and alignment among creative, technical, and production stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability in capacity planning, dependency tracking, and proactive risk mitigation.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working on AAA, live service, or multiplayer titles.
  • Experience collaborating with external development, co-development, or outsourcing partners.
  • Experience working with distributed or hybrid/remote teams.
