  • Location: Tallahassee, FL (100% Onsite — Local candidates only)
  • Duration: 10 Months (September 2026 – June 2027, with possible extension)
  • Employment Type: Contract (40 Hours/Week)
     

 

Job Summary

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) is seeking an experienced Security Analyst to support its Information Security Governance team. This role focuses on Microsoft 365 security administration, endpoint management, security policy implementation, vulnerability remediation, and enterprise device management. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Purview, BitLocker, Office 365 security technologies, and enterprise endpoint administration.

 

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint & Device Management

  • Manage and enroll Windows, macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Package, deploy, and maintain Win32, Line-of-Business (LOB), and Microsoft Store applications.
  • Configure and manage Windows Update for Business deployment rings and feature updates.
  • Develop and implement endpoint security baselines, policies, and best practices.

Data Protection & Licensing

  • Implement Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels to classify, encrypt, and protect organizational data.
  • Configure trainable classifiers, Exact Data Match (EDM), and Sensitive Information Types within Microsoft Purview.
  • Evaluate Microsoft 365 licensing (E3, E5, Business Premium) and implement security capabilities accordingly.

Security, Remediation & Support

  • Perform software inventory, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and application updates across enterprise devices.
  • Research, implement, and support Microsoft security tools and technologies.
  • Create security documentation, policies, and procedures while transferring knowledge to internal staff.
  • Provide advanced desktop and endpoint support for Microsoft technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of IT experience in enterprise environments.
  • Core Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration and security, including hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Purview
    • BitLocker
    • Office 365 Security & Compliance
    • Windows Update for Business
    • Endpoint Management
  • Platform Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Microsoft endpoint administration across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Compliance: Solid understanding of enterprise security policies, governance, and compliance best practices.

Work Schedule & Compliance

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week). Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required for deployments or emergencies.
  • Background Screening: Candidate must successfully pass a Criminal Background Check, Drug Screening, and Credit History Check.
  • Security Clearance: Must strictly comply with the FBI CJIS Security Policy and all FDLE security requirements.
