DevOps Tester Specialist

Location: McLean, VA - ONLY LOCALS 

Work Model: 5 days onsite

Contract: Contract

End Date: 6 months 

Interview Process: 1st Round – 30 Virtual; 2nd Round In Person – 120 Minutes 

We are seeking a Senior Automation Tester with 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation to join a high-performing Agile team supporting cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, database validation, AWS cloud technologies, and modern CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute End-to-End (E2E) and Integration test scenarios based on business requirements.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Playwright, and related tools.
  • Perform UI, API, backend, and database testing across cloud-based applications.
  • Develop and execute automated tests within AWS environments.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and Business SMEs to define testing strategies and ensure quality delivery.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps best practices.
  • Create and validate test data using SQL and database technologies.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote modern testing practices within Agile teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Java 17+ (latest versions preferred)
    • Selenium, Cucumber, JUnit, Playwright
    • REST API Testing
    • AWS Cloud
    • SQL and Database Testing
    • DB2 and PostgreSQL (3+ years)
    • Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, and Ansible.
  • Knowledge of Agile/SAFe methodologies.
  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Angular (16+) or React applications.
  • Exposure to MongoDB and SQL Server.
  • Experience in cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
