Job description

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Ph. D. , M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience.

Job Description:

The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position and is not expected to be a permanent position. The postdoctoral fellow assists PIs in the conduct of on-going research projects (investigator and industry initiated).  Duties include executing on-going protocols for clinical trials as well as assisting in the collection/analyzing of clinical data for on-going QI and database research projects. Preferred qualifications include Familiarity with data handling regulations around medical data and research data (e.g., HIPAA and IRB), experience with data management (e.g., REDCap), and the ability to work well in a diverse team environment.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Identifies and recruits clinical research subjects for participation of studies, collects data, and monitors enrollment goals.
  • Under the direction of the PI, assists with the creation of research presentations and manuscripts.
  • Assists with grant/protocol preparation and submissions to IRB, OCR or OSP under the direction of the PI. Documents and maintains IRB approval.
  • Assists with creation and maintenance of clinical and research databases in conjunction with the database manager.
  • Assists with collection, documentation, and storage of clinical and research data.
  • Assists with administrative tasks around research protocols including sample collection and shipment.

Commensurate with experience.
