Job description

IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, is a recognized leader in Facilities Management and Operations in support of Defense, Intelligence, and National Security missions.
Under a major Intelligence Community contract, IAP operates and maintains facilities, systems, and associated grounds across Virginia and Maryland. Services provided include comprehensive facility operations; project management for renovations, minor construction, and major equipment repairs; engineering, construction, and operations support; custodial and grounds maintenance services; environmental, safety, and occupational health support; food services; motorpool and logistics operations; and physical and technical security services.
As the Project Manager, will oversee the operations and maintenance support for the program, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent communication skills.
Job Description:
Manage space-related projects from concept through close-out
• Coordinate with all interested parties, including customers, construction contractors, IT contractors, SIOE Engineering Team, O&M personnel. Maintain a positive, collegial attitude and rapport with all customers and partners.
• Develop statements of work, independent cost estimates (including IT, architectural finishes and furnishings, security, construction and sustainment), formal project documents for approval by the NGA Space and Infrastructure Board (NISB)
• Provide briefings on project status to NGA Seniors
• Regularly inspect work in progress to ensure construction quality and compliance with design requirements
• Lead Technical Exchange Meetings, project walks, punch list reviews, customer project walks, etc.
• Review and provide comments on design submittals (drawings, specifications, product submittals, etc.) in a timely, professional manner
• Manage project information in the IWMS database, ARCHIBUS
Required/Desired Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 15 years' experience in facilities construction/modification, with at least 5 of those years in an Intelligence Community setting
• Associate's or Bachelor's (preferred) Degree in Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• Licensed Engineer, Registered Architect, or Licensed Contractor is considered a plus, but not required
• Demonstrated experience with Intelligence Community missions and functions regarding facilities development and production
• Demonstrated experience in understanding/interpreting construction drawings in Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and IT trades. Certification (AutoDesk Certified Professional, associate degrees or other Community College certification, or similar industry-accepted certification) in AutoCAD preferred
• Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite such as building spreadsheets, consolidating input across various offices, and edit/update as needed
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic level decisions in a team environment
