About the role
Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Project Manager Lead with 10+ years of experience supporting high-performing, scalable enterprise applications. You will be part of a critical production support team responsible for ensuring application stability, reliability, and seamless user experience for high-demand systems.
Our engineers are passionate about system reliability, incident resolution, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product managers, developers, business stakeholders, and clients to quickly resolve issues, minimize downtime, and deliver stable, high-quality services to users.
You will play a key role in managing production environments, leading incident response, and driving operational excellence. Our teams are agile, proactive, and continuously strive to improve processes, automation, and system observability. Success is measured by system uptime, rapid issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
Location: Hartford, Connecticut (Hybrid)
You must be legally authorized to work in the USA without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Roles/Responsibilities:
• Total 10+ years of IT Production Support experience with thorough understanding of ITIL processes
• Lead technical discussions independently in collaboration with Business & IT leads.
• Take ownership of production issues providing workarounds & performing initial technical assessments and collaborate effectively with Development teams for implementation
• Ability & experience to prioritize issues effectively in alignment with client and business needs.
  • Ability to assess upstream and downstream impacts of system changes
  • Perform impact and risk assessments for releases, upgrades, and changes
  • Flexibility to provide occasional off-hours or on-call support as required
  • Have prior experience in managing IRT calls

Required Qualifications:
  • Confidently manage multiple business partners on a day-to-day basis.
  • Build strong, conflict-free working relationships with IT and business stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration across cross-functional teams
  • Exhibit excellent communication and client management skills
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with:
    • Writing and optimizing SQL queries.
    • Debugging stored procedures.
    • Managing database backup and restore during deployments and incidents.

• Strong understanding of system integrations
• Hands-on expertise in at least one programming language
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until June 1st, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $ 81,337- $ 141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
