Job description

Job Summary (Senior Database Administrator)
- Serve as a key member of a collaborative technology team, supporting enterprise data platforms.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of mission-critical database environments.
- Lead database architecture, administration, optimization, and support across multiple database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver long-term data solutions.
- Design, develop, enhance, and optimize database schemas, data structures, and enterprise data environments.
- Apply best practices in database administration, relational database design, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain database security standards and data architecture principles.
- Independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex database issues.
- Manage installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and ongoing operational support for databases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and complex database specifications.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
- Support enterprise-scale production database environments, including ESRI SDE Geodatabases and GIS data management.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Estimate effort, timelines, and resource requirements for database projects.
- (Preferred) Work with Azure SQL Database, AWS database technologies, and administer ArcGIS Server environments.
