Job Title: Database Administrator (ADABAS)
Location: Tallahassee, FL

Job Summary:
The Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (ADABAS) to support the administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing ADABAS databases and Software AG products in a mainframe environment, along with expertise in database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and database security. The selected consultant will be responsible for maintaining both production and non-production databases while ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain production and non-production databases.
Administer database storage, maintenance, access controls, and security standards.
Perform database backup and recovery activities across Database Management Systems (DBMS).
Configure database parameters and implement database configurations based on logical data models.
Develop and maintain prototype database designs.
Define and maintain data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and data warehousing requirements.
Optimize database performance, storage allocation, and resource utilization.
Allocate and reallocate database resources to maximize performance and cost efficiency.
Ensure database environments meet organizational standards for availability, integrity, and security.
Work closely with the Department's Contract Manager and technical teams to support database operations.
