Collins Aerospace is looking for a Metrology Engineering Database Coordinator.
The Metrology Database coordinator works within an Engineering Laboratory environment implementing laboratory and calibration policies maintaining our calibration database and adherence to all RTX and Government Department of Defense (DoD) standards. The metrology organization will be subject to internal Quality audits, AS 9100/ISO 9001 audits, and DCMA audits. The Metrology coordinator will also work with the Property Management, Supply Chain and Facility organizations to maintain up to date data with the property system and the move of assets within our laboratories and to support the process of sending assets to our Calibration vendor(s).
What You Will Do
  • Coordination and execution of RTX Metrology Operations requirements
  • Maintaining metrology infrastructure to meet development and test requirements
  • Support AS 9100/ISO 9001, ANSI Z540-1, ISO 17025 audits, and Government DCMA audits
  • Work closely with RTX Calibration vendor, Keysight Technologies and RTX Metrology personnel to ensure compliance with Metrology Command Media for equipment calibration and property controls
  • Support monthly Metrology Metrics meeting with Database coordinators across RTX
  • Manage multiple daily issues for equipment calibration and repairs

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering environment
  • 3+ years of experience in database management
  • Understanding of quality processes which leads to successful certification with AS 9100/ISO 9001, ANSI Z540-1, ISO 17025
  • Database and data analysis skills to ensure accurate metrology support metrics are being collected

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Current U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Database Management Systems experience (RTX systems: SAP or PRISM and ARAMIS
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)
  • Highly motivated self-starter that works independently with minimal supervision

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
