Job Summary

Job Duties:
Responsible for overseeing and directing a team of digital professionals specializing in enterprise database platforms and related infrastructure;
Ensuring the effective implementation, maintenance, optimization, and strategic development of digital resources that support clinical, research, financial, and administrative operations;
Accountable for maintaining stable, high performing and secure database environments that are foundational to mission-critical applications;
The role includes stewardship over security and compliance for environments handling highly sensitive and regulated data, such as HIPPA-protected research systems, with strong emphasis on access control, encryption, auditing, and policy enforcement;
Managing vendor relationships, particularly with Microsoft and oracle, including license renewals, support escalations and roadmap coordination;
Leading and contributing to multi-layered, high-visibility projects with significant business impact, ensuring deadlines are met while coordinating across technical and non-technical teams;
Evaluating and recommending third party tools for performance tuning, monitoring, reporting, and integration.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related field and eight (8) years of progressive experience in database administration and platform management.
Special Skills or Other Requirements:
3 years of experience with cloud database deployments and hybrid cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP);
8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL server, Oracle Exadata environments;
8 years of experience in design and management of high availability and disaster recovery solutions;
8 years of experience in mission critical systems in healthcare, financial, or regulated environments.
Must possess the following certifications:
oITIL and Microsoft certified professional
oMicrosoft Certified Solutions Associate
oMicrosoft Certified Technology Specialist
oAzure database Administrator Associate or similar
oOracle Cloud Interface Foundations Associate
