Job description

Senior Product Data Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Product Data Management Specialist, to join the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) team in Huntsville, Alabama.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Implement and maintain Configuration Change Management processes

  • Ensure daily end-to-end delivery of Configuration Management services in accordance with this Configuration Management Policies

  • Provide support to project teams in configuring and base-lining project items.

  • Prepare configuration documentations and maintain Configuration Management (CM) database. Review and recommend improvements to existing CM processes.

  • Maintain data quality, integrity and security of CM database.

  • Schedule audits on CM database and assist in implementing audit recommendations. Develop security guidelines to avoid unauthorized damage or usage of project items Work with configuration teams in development and enhancement of CM tools.

  • Assist in management, maintenance and automating of CM tools. Maintain proper version controls of software deliverables.

  • Oversee the delivery of software applications in test and deployment environments. Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions

  • Support development, documentation and plans implementationand processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and maintain configuration control.

  • Support audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.

  • Assist with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.

  • Track, reconcile discrepancies and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements.

  • Supporttechnical check of complex engineering data to verify that engineering, partner, and/or supplier product definition data (e.g., bill of material, geometry, digital models) meets procedural and system requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an Active U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Active Security Clearance

  • 3+ years of experience with Configuration Management

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience

  • Level 3: Typically, 3 or more years related work experience

  • Level 4: Typically, 6 or more years related work experience

  • Experience in working with engineering design

  • Experience on a configuration management (CM) team and/or working closely with a configuration management (CM) team.

  • Experience with Configuration or Change Management processes

  • Experience with any of the following tools; IDE/Windchill/ IPDM/3Dx/PIMs/Teamcenter Visualization Mockup 8.3, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Excel
