The Manager, Purchase Order is responsible for overseeing the purchase order lifecycle for all of AMH and managing the Purchase Order Specialist team ensuring best practices for the purchase order process.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the purchase order lifecycle, including scope, database management (Yardi, CRM, and RenoWalk), purchase order creation, and final invoice payment.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to all levels of the construction team for the RenoWalk application/software system.
  • Develop, document, and implement procedures and processes to maximize efficiencies and ensure accuracy in the purchase order lifecycle.
  • Manage a team of Purchase Order Specialists, ensuring accurate and timely payments to general contractors by executing construction purchase orders.
  • Liaise with maintenance, accounts payable, internal audit, and property management departments to maintain best practices for the purchase order process.
  • Serve as a role model to direct reports, providing training, coaching, and counseling to build an effective team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience.
  • Background in Construction, Maintenance, or Property Management.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Relevant experience in a fast-paced, multi-project, operational environment.
  • Experience with Yardi, CRM, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced PC skills, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Understanding of the industry, with the capability to recommend and implement processes for improved efficiency, service, profitability, and growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interaction skills at all levels.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Strong customer, quality, and results orientation.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $57,041.00 to $71,307.00 Annually. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive quarterly bonus payments.
