Summary:
Ashley is seeking a data-savvy and analytically-minded Marketing Data Platform Specialist Intern to join our marketing technology team. This internship opportunity is open to both current students and recent graduates who are passionate about marketing analytics, data platforms, and leveraging technology to drive marketing performance. The intern will work closely with our marketing operations and data teams to support our marketing technology stack, optimize data flows, and enable data-driven decision-making across marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing and maintaining marketing data platforms including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and customer data platforms.
• Support the integration and synchronization of data between marketing systems and enterprise databases.
• Help develop and maintain marketing dashboards and reports to track campaign performance, customer engagement, and ROI metrics.
• Participate in data quality initiatives to ensure accuracy and consistency of customer and campaign data.
• Assist with audience segmentation, list management, and data enrichment activities.
• Support marketing automation workflow development and testing for email campaigns, nurture programs, and customer journeys.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications • Help document marketing data processes, platform configurations, and best practices.
• Conduct analysis on marketing campaign performance and provide insights to optimize future initiatives.
• Research emerging marketing technology trends and recommend platform enhancements or new tools.
Qualifications required:
Education: Currently enrolled in or recently completed (within 12 months) a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience: Foundational knowledge of marketing concepts and data analysis; academic projects or coursework involving marketing analytics, database management, or business intelligence.
Additional Qualifications, preferred:
• Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.)
• Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python • Knowledge of data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio.)
• Understanding of customer data platforms (CDPs) or data management platforms (DMPs.)
• Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics tools • Basic understanding of marketing metrics, attribution models, and campaign measurement.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills with ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solver with eagerness to learn new marketing technologies.
Work Environment:
This position is located in a climate-controlled office environment with standard lighting and moderate noise levels typical of professional workspace settings. The role primarily involves sitting at a desk for extended periods while working with computers, phones, and other office equipment. The collaborative environment includes interaction with team members and may require attendance at meetings, conference calls, and cross-departmental communications during regular business hours.
Pay: $18.00- $22.00
