Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Database Engineering, you will support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise database platforms while serving as the Product Owner for the SQL Server environment. You will partner with engineers, solution architects, and delivery managers to drive database best practices, performance improvements, and integration across applications. You will contribute to a hybrid work environment that blends onsite collaboration with remote flexibility.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Design, install, configure, andmaintainSQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments

  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies tooptimizequeries, indexes, and overall system efficiency

  • Ensure data integrity, security, backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested

  • Collaborate with developers and system administrators to support application development and deployment needs

  • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions including Always On, log shipping, and replication

  • Conduct audits and compliance checks to align with data governance standards

  • Automate routine database administration tasks using Transact-SQL, PowerShell, or similar scripting tools

  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues with urgency and precision

  • Maintainaccuratedocumentation for configurations, procedures, and database standards

  • Lead product delivery efforts using agile methodologies to improve the business owner experience

  • Partner with solution architects and delivery managers to align platform capabilities with application requirements

  • Influence outsourced service performance, support incident resolution, and collaborate across teams to resolve complex issues

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor a related field

  • 3 or more years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator in a production environment

  • Expertisein SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Analysis Services

  • Strongproficiencyin Transact-SQL and query optimization techniques

  • Experience with backup and recovery strategies using native and third-party tools

  • Familiarity with cloud-based database services such as Azure SQL and Amazon Web Services Relational Database Service is preferred

  • Knowledge of Oracle database support

  • Experience in database design, data modeling, and extract, transform, and load processes

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Experience supporting enterprise application platforms

Compensation

Pay Range:$73,600-$109,300

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
