Enterprise Solutions and Management (ESM) is a rapidly growing government contractor that provides strategic IT services that meet mission needs for Defense and Federal customers. We are hiring a Database Administrator for an exciting remote opportunity. Job Description and Responsibilities Provides database administration support for enterprise systems supporting the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO).

Responsible for administering and maintaining database environments including Oracle Database 19c (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server (version 2014 or higher). Develops technical specifications and designs, develops, modifies, tests, and manages databases within DTMO's multi-tier architecture. Monitors database performance, implements optimization strategies, and performs database tuning to ensure reliability, efficiency, and availability of mission-critical systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Knowledge of enterprise database administration, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle management of relational database systems. Knowledge of database platforms including Oracle Database 19c (or higher) and Microsoft SQL Server (version 2014 or higher). Knowledge of database design, development, and management within multi-tier enterprise architectures.

Knowledge of database performance monitoring, optimization techniques, and database tuning to ensure system reliability and efficiency. Knowledge of developing technical specifications, implementing database changes, and supporting mission-critical systems. Desired KSA Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations.

Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customer. Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision. Minimum Training, Education, and Certifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Five (5) years experience Specific Experience with: Oracle and Sql Server administration Development & Maintenance of technical specifications, design, development, modification, testing, and management of databases in multi-tier architecture.
