JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for Oracle and PostgreSQL DBA to join the Global IT Operations team. The scope of his/her work will be to participate in all database related projects, in an execution and coordination role with external parties.
Your role:
  • Provide hands-on expertise on systems related projects and participate on the daily tickets activity
  • Deploy and troubleshoot various types of network elements, infrastructure services and platforms
  • Build database systems of high availability
  • Install, upgrade and manage database applications
  • Develop processes for optimizing database security
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
  • Performance tuning of database systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
  • Manage database access
  • Manage clear communication of progress/status with project stakeholders
  • Anticipate and evaluate risks
  • Comprehend complex technical details and relay information to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Creation of requirement documents upon completion of each project
  • Drive urgency towards customer lab/field issues with the support organization and internal development teams
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identifying potential planning gaps, suggesting mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items

Oracle:
  • Experience in installing Oracle Software of different versions like 11g,12c,19c,21c on various Operating Systems.

  • Manage Table spaces, Datafiles and other database objects
  • Experience with backup and recovery planning and implementation in Oracle environments using RMAN.
  • Experience working with Oracle utilities, like, RMAN, Exp/Imp/DATAPUMP.
  • Monitor Alert log for error information.
  • Storage and space management including table spaces and data files.
  • Database Migration from Windows to Linux with 12cR2 version.
  • Database cloning using RMAN.
  • Data Guard Configuration (Physical Standby).
  • Generate AWR and ADDM report.
  • Work with OEM 11g,13c.
  • RMAN cloud backup, restore, recovery using OSB.
  • Database Patching using Opatch utility.
  • Automate and schedule database monitoring scripts using shell scripts.

  • Monitor and enhance database performance through systematic analysis and tuning

  • Able to interact with all levels of management
  • Experienced in manage challenging situations with key clients requirements and third party constrains, and expert in building consensus in such situations
