Overview
Trimark Associates is a leading innovator in utility-scale solutions to help electric power resources optimize control, connect to the grid, maximize revenue, and meter energy transactions. We specialize in state-of-the-art SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and software platforms. Our cutting-edge technologies empower the renewable industry to monitor, control, and optimize complex processes with precision and efficiency. As we continue to expand our offerings, we are seeking a talented Development Database Administrator (DDBA) to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of an exceptional software platform. As the DDBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the databases of Trimark and our customers.
This position may be performed remotely or based onsite or hybrid at our headquarters in Folsom, California, at management's discretion.
Responsibilities
  • Designing, building and optimizing queries in MS SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Reading and interpreting execution plans in SQL Server and PostgreSQL to troubleshoot query performance issues
  • Designing, building and optimizing indexes in MS SQL and PostgreSQL
  • Creating and managing database partitions
  • Monitoring database performance and tuning them for optimal performance
  • Monitoring index performance and tuning them for optimal performance
  • Ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary
  • Collaborating with developers to design, develop, and implement new database applications
  • Troubleshooting database issues

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements
  • Proficient in the usage of PostgreSQL, Timescale and Microsoft SQL Server databases
  • Strong knowledge of ETL solutions (Azure Data Factory preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Azure cloud database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Server administration
  • Knowledge of database partitioning procedures
  • Knowledge of database security best practices
  • Proven history of using excellent problem-solving skills to address technical issues
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with developers, management, and other stakeholders
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
