Associate Director, Database Services Key responsibilities

  • Manage and continuously improve a comprehensive and systematic annual plan for database and project management

  • Serve as the primary Raisers Edge database expert, leading troubleshooting, staff training, and protocols for data entry

  • Establish and maintain best practice around integrated use of data management, research and payment processing tools, such as Raisers Edge, Donor Search, Give Campus and Greater Giving

  • Oversee all gift processing operations through management of the Gift Processing Assistant, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established protocols

  • Partner with the Business Office to reconcile all philanthropic giving with the school’s general ledger and support the annual financial audit

  • Produce regular pledge, gift, and periodic ad hoc reports and lists to document the flow of philanthropic income to the school

  • Support event data operations including guest registration data integration/nametags and registration operations


What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years experience in data management and reporting in a mission-driven organization with a focus on philanthropic data management

  • Expertise in CRM systems, Raiser’s Edge preferred

  • Strong project management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and systems thinking with the ability to create effective workflows and use data to support decision-making

  • Experience supervising staff or demonstrating leadership in team coordination, training, or workflow oversight

  • Experience working across integrated systems (CRM, payment platforms, event tools) with an understanding of data flow and dependencies

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and intermediate knowledge of Google and MS Office suites

  • Understanding of fundraising principles, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality

  • A self-starter who works well with others, brings intellectual curiosity to their work, and is always looking to learn and grow.

  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends for Development and school events is required
