Job Description

Job Description: Dallas ISD seeks skilled SQL - Database Administrator, for SQL Server Applications (Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS)) database administrators for managing administrative operations of school district’s Student System Power School, Data Warehouse, Laserfiche document management and other SQL Server based database and applications and to perform following duties

Assist in Installing, configuring, maintaining & supporting Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) applications & SQL server databases (Latest versions) in production, development, UAT and test environments.

• Assists in the development of high quality efficient ETL applications leveraging Transact-SQL stored procedures and other ETL environments.

• Monitor the SQL Server database/Business Intelligence environment including ETL Jobs, Database Refreshes and Maintenance jobs.

• Perform backup and restore all databases.

• Assist in deploying database scripts requested by the Application Development Team.

• Managing database schemas, objects Tables, Views, Functions, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Cursors using Transact-SQL for various business applications.

• Developing and implementing database security policies.

• Create and maintain reports involving a variety of features using SSRS, Qlik-view and Power BI.

• Error handling and debugging coding issues and troubleshoot production problems.

• Works with the team to create and maintain best-practice standards and procedural guidelines.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology.

• 8 years of experience performing SQL Server Applications (MSBI, SQL) Database Administration on Windows platforms.

• Basic experience in ETL design and development experience working with SQL stored procedures and/or ETL tools such as Microsoft SSIS.

• Must be willing to work in an on-call production support model
