Job description

BankSouth Mortgage is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant II to join our team in Greensboro, GA. This is a 100% in-office position, supporting a high-volume loan production pipeline and working closely with experienced loan officers to ensure a smooth, efficient, and compliant loan process from start to finish. Essential Functions

  • Support a combined annual pipeline of over $35 million in production with approximately 96 units
  • Assist with preparation and set-up of loan documentation packages
  • Review information provided by applicant and loan officer, adjust as necessary with additional information provided.
  • Communicate needs list to borrowers via email and phone conversation as directed by the Loan officer
  • Review to include program requirements specific to the application.
  • Update data to ensure accuracy within income, liabilities, program specifics, and software required fields
  • Request initial disclosures be sent as dictated by Team workflow
  • Verify initial disclosures for compliance; resend any missing or unsigned disclosures
  • Verify all documentation is present in each package according to investor guidelines
  • Follow up on requests for documentation to ensure timely receipt as directed by team workflow
  • Answer general questions/inquiries from loan applicants
  • Consistently maintain our reputation for superior customer satisfaction
  • Assist Loan Officer with various business development tasks; including, but not limited to, marketing functions (printing of flyers/ordering supplies), maintaining a social media presence, assisting with event support and other actions as needed to drive production

  • Responsible for learning, understanding, and practicing required fraud prevention practice, TRID, BSA and OFAC compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that BankSouth Mortgage adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all customer files & associated information
  • Position requires attention to detail
  • Must work efficiently and accurately under pressure
