This role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise database environments while collaborating with developers, engineers, system administrators, and customers to ensure database systemsย remainย secure, reliable, and efficient.ย 

What You'll Doย 

  • Install, configure,ย maintain, andย monitorย database systems and applicationsย 
  • Administer database environments to ensure availability, reliability, and performanceย 
  • Perform database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery support activitiesย 
  • Monitor database performance and recommend improvements toย optimizeย efficiencyย 
  • Implement andย maintainย database security controls, permissions, and user accessย 
  • Troubleshoot database issues and support problem resolution effortsย 
  • Support database design, development, and implementation activitiesย 
  • Assistย with data migration, conversion, and integration effortsย 
  • Develop andย maintainย database documentation, procedures, and reportsย

What You Bringย 

Required Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldย 
  • Three (3) years of experience in database administration, database management, data administration, or a related information technology fieldย 
  • Knowledge of database administration principles and best practicesย 
  • Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery proceduresย 
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts and data management processesย 
  • Ability to analyze and resolve database performance and operational issuesย 
  • Ability to develop andย maintainย technical documentationย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skillsย 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnelย 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentย 
  • Proficiencyย with database management tools and Microsoft Office applicationsย 
  • Ability to obtain andย maintainย a government security clearance ifย requiredย 

Preferred Experienceย 

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related fieldย 
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government programsย 
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimizationย 
  • Experience supporting backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processesย
