The impact you will have:

The Sr. Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for owning the design, delivery, and maintenance of People and Culture (P&C) reporting and business analysis.  This role serves as the subject-matter expert on workforce data-driving reporting strategy, ensuring data integrity across P&C systems, and providing consultative guidance to senior leaders that shapes how the organization makes people decisions.  As a senior team member, you will partner cross-functionally with business analysts and operational leaders across Softchoice to combine people data with business performance data, turning insight into action.  You will lead end-to-end analytics initiatives with minimal direction, influence without authority, and bring executive presence to every stakeholder interaction.  

What you'll do:

  • Develop and own reporting dashboards using data mining analytics and reporting tools (SuccessFactors Story, ADP Vantage, PowerBI, Power Platform) to drive performance monitoring and executive decision-making.  
  • Design, develop, and maintain data and statistical models, including complex data manipulation from multiple sources that generate actionable insights for leadership. 
  • Serve as the P&C analytics subject-matter expert, proactively advising senior leaders on key metrics, trends, and data-driven recommendations that inform workforce strategy 
  • Conduct a review of the intake and prioritization of reporting requests and ensure reporting data is presented in an understandable and user-friendly format.  
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels in defining requirements, developing technical specifications, analyzing data flow, and completing testing for report execution.  
  • Conduct audits on data extracted to ensure the highest quality is being used for reporting. 
  • Perform quality assurance checks on system configurations including assessment of changes in SAP bi-annual releases to determine the impact. 
  • Use HR system and process expertise to analyze and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and determine and execute resolution.  
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of data and reporting strategy and governance within P&C and throughout the partnership with business areas. 
  • Champion the empowerment of stakeholders at various levels in leveraging reporting tools to support strategic and operational needs.  
  • Respond to benchmarking surveys, and prepare analysis on employee data across P&C Systems 
  • Serve as the SME for P&C analytics, by owning the timely generation of recurring metrics.  
  • Ensure reporting roles and access are defined and maintained in partnership with IT governance and SuccessFactors Administrators 
  • Create and maintain Knowledge-Based Documentation (KBDs) related to new developments and enhancements in reports and dashboards for knowledge sharing and job shadowing. 
  • Onboard new HR Technology team members on P&C reporting tools, including training and change management. 
  • Works with other HR Technology team members to build awareness of data and process changes impacting business metrics. 
  • Maintains current knowledge of reporting trends and best practices for long-term solutions. 

 

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, management analytics, math, statistics, computer science or related field 
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with Analytics tools at an advanced level with 2 years in PowerBI and Power Platform tools. 
  • Experience with data visualization tools with at least 1 full implementation of Planning, Forecasting BI, and Predictive Analytics
  • Enrolled or completing Data Analytics certification or programs is an asset (Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or People Analytics programs) 
  • Demonstrated experience in using queries and syntax to conduct data mining, transformation, cleansing, and visualization. 
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Microsoft Office products and SQL for querying relational databases. 
  • A broad understanding of HR business fundamentals with at least 4 years of HR operations experience   
  • Experience in 1-2 full-cycle SAP SuccessFactors implementation projects is an asset. 
  • Experience with owning governance, controls, processes, data modeling, master data management, data standardization  
  • Should be able to model positive behavior in the engagement with others and display the desired values and culture of the organization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive initiatives end-to-end with minimal direction, taking full ownership from problem identification through solution delivery. 
  • Works collaboratively to provide services that are sought after and recognized for being of high quality. 
  • Executive presence with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear, actionable narratives for senior leadership and non-technical audiences.  
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects with deadlines and adaptable to changes in priority level that require a high level of organization and planning skills. 
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing the quality of their work. 
  • Detail-oriented with proven analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Strong consultative skillset-able to frame technology issues, plans, and solutions from both a business and technical perspective, providing both pros and cons for recommended solutions to peers, people leaders, and senior leadership.  
  • Excellent documentation skills (Process and training manuals, workbook updates) 

Compensation:

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $76,500 to $102,000 annually + 10% Target Incentives.

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, education, and related certification. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
