Senior Data Architect-Enterprise Analytics (SAC/Datasphere/PowerBI)

Seeking a Senior SAP Data Architect with deep technical expertise in SAP data platforms and modern analytics tools to design and develop our enterprise reporting solutions. This role will be responsible for building scalable analytics models and dashboards across SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Datasphere (BDC) and PowerBI, while ensuring alignment with enterprise data architecture and the business reporting needs. The ideal candidate will combine architecture-level thinking with strong hands on development which will enable them to design data models, dashboards and guide analytics strategy across SAP and non-SAP platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, specifically Microsoft Power BI, including designing dashboards, creating interactive reports and connecting to various data sources.
  • Design and maintain enterprise data models supporting analytics across SAP landscapes including SAP S/4HANA, RISE and other enterprise systems.
  • Data Management: Connect and integrate various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with business owners to understand their reporting needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Architect scalable reporting solutions leveraging SAP Datasphere (BDC) and other enterprise data platforms.
  • Establish data architecture standards for analytics and reporting
  • Data Documentation: Document all data sources, processes and report definitions to maintain consistency and transparency in reporting. Establish a clear audit trail and reference materials for team members and stakeholders.
  • Reporting Automation: Create automated reports to streamline data delivery across the team and ensure timely updates to executive leadership.

Analytics Development

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise dashboards and analytics solutios in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
  • Build data models, live connections, and data acquisition models within SAC
  • Develop advanced enterprise reports and dashboards using PowerBI for cross-platform analytics.
  • Ensure high performance and usability of enterprise reporting environments.
  • Training & Support: Provide training to business users on how to utilize dashboards and reports effectively. Develop reporting definitions to ensure a shared understanding of metrics.

Data Modeling & Integration

Design and implement data models in SAP Datasphere including:

  • Analytical datasets
  • Views
  • Semantic layers
  • Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources into unified reporting models
  • Collaborate with integration teams to ensure reliable data pipelines

Business Collaboration

  • Work with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Support enterprise reporting needs across finance, supply chain, operations, quality and EHS business units.
  • Drive best practices in data visualization and analytics governance

Architecture & Governance

  • Define enterprise analytics standards across SAC, Datasphere and PowerBI
  • Implement data governance and data quality practices
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the reporting data analytics PowerBI developer teams.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture and analytics development
  • Strong expertise in:
    • SAP Analytics Cloud
    • SAP Datasphere/SAP BDC
    • Microsoft PowerBI

Experience working with SAP data models from:

  • SAP S/4HANA
  • Sap BW or legacy SAP reporting environments

Advanced knowledge of:

  • Data modeling
  • Data warehousing concepts
  • SQL and analytical modeling
  • Experience designing enterprise analytics architecture across multiple platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • Technical Skills:
