About the Role
As a Product Analyst at Sharon Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in providing the analytical insights that support business strategy, profitability, and operational excellence. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. It offers the opportunity to contribute directly to margin improvement, portfolio optimization, pricing effectiveness, inventory performance, and overall business growth.
You will collaborate with commercial, operations, supply chain, planning, finance, and executive leadership teams, ensuring data-driven decisions support key business objectives and long-term strategic initiatives. This is an on-site role located in Sharon, PA or Niles, OH, with approximately 10%-20% travel required.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze product portfolios to identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement, capacity optimization, and complexity reduction.
  • Apply segmentation methodologies, including 80/20, ABCxyz, AB12, and similar analytical frameworks to support portfolio optimization and strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate product, customer, and market profitability to recommend rationalization, simplification, and growth strategies.
  • Develop portfolio performance dashboards and deliver actionable recommendations aligned with business objectives.
  • Quantify the operational and financial impacts of product complexity across manufacturing, inventory, procurement, scheduling, and supply chain activities.
  • Track and report results of pricing, portfolio, and rationalization initiatives against established business objectives.
  • Develop pricing analyses and recommendations that support profitability and revenue growth.
  • Monitor margin, cost, pricing, and profitability trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create reporting tools and analytics that support pricing governance and business performance management.
  • Maintain product and pricing data supporting e-commerce platforms and customer-facing tools.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and analytical models that provide visibility into key business performance indicators.
  • Create recurring and ad hoc analyses that support executive decision-making and strategic initiative execution.
  • Improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency across business systems to strengthen organizational decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance analytical tools that support product portfolio management, profitability analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of reporting platforms, databases, pricing tools, and business intelligence systems.
  • Leverage ERP, CRM, and business intelligence systems to extract, organize, and analyze data that drives business performance improvement.
  • Automate reporting and analysis processes to improve efficiency, decision-making speed, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are
  • Five or more years of experience in business, operations, pricing, commercial analytics, or a related analytical role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel, metals, tubing, engineered products, or related industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, business intelligence platforms, and AI-enabled analytics tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, analytical models, and data visualization solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with the ability to convert findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience applying 80/20 or similar portfolio optimization methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, AI-enabled analytics tools, and related reporting platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, inventory management, supply chain processes, and cost accounting preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary for this position will be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and interview performance.
