Job Description
Find your purpose as a Manager of Analytics with CentraCare. Within the Enterprise Analytics Department, this role is responsible for prioritizing data & analytics work with a team of analysts and report developers, balancing incoming requests with strategic and operational projects. The Manager of Analytics understands the complete data life cycle and has real-world experience supporting business outcomes using agile methodology, advanced data modeling, analytical techniques, and data visualization. This leadership position will strive to continuously uplift the technical skillsets of the team and maintain a collaborative culture for all team members. This role ensures data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and documenting optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. They are skilled at communicating with stakeholders from across the healthcare system and can lead people as well as strategies, applying their exhaustive knowledge of data analytics to solve problems and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
Schedule:
  • Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
  • Monday-Friday 8a-5p
  • Majority remote | Occasional need for onsite meeting or training

Pay and Benefits:
  • Starting pay begins at $114,816 per year and increases with experience.
  • Salary range: $114,816-$172,224 per year
    • Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Quantitative field or healthcare or Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative field or healthcare along with analytics certification or 10 years of analytics experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years Monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data
  • 3 years Leading an analytics team
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables.
  • Experience and knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, analysts, and projects simultaneously.
  • Expert-level ability with Microsoft 365 tools: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology, preferably with experience applying Agile concepts to report development and analytics output.
  • Familiarity with health care processes, organizational structure, concepts, terminology, and key metrics.

Core Functions:
  • Design and build analytical processes to address business issues.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of reporting and analytic outputs and insights that support strategic initiatives, improve business functions and maximize operational performance, within a product team framework.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and supervise report developers and analysts, utilizing change management and excellent communication skills.
  • Manage and optimize processes for analytic output development and communication of deliverables.
  • Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement quality controls and analytic standards to ensure organizational expectations.
  • Anticipate future demands of analytic initiatives and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
  • Organize and drive successful completion of analytic insight initiatives through effective management of analysts and report developers while effectively collaborating with IS, data architecture, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling, report development, data visualization, and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
  • Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
  • Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Prepare for departmental and system growth by considering long term reporting needs and data asset maintenance.
  • Grow professionally through continued learning and research on key analytics topics such as data literacy and data governance concepts, incorporating them in decision making and department development.
