The Communications Specialist is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for creating high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content that brings Beacon Mobility's stories, values, and initiatives to life. This role is anchored in independent responsibilities, content design, supporting internal communications across multiple platforms plus collaborating with other departments and their communication needs. This role focuses on turning strategy into engaging, well-crafted content that connects employees across brands and regions.
Core Responsibilities
• Create, edit, and publish internal communications content including announcements, articles, event promotions, captions, and short-form storytelling pieces
• Design visual assets using Canva and similar tools (flyers, posters, digital signage, templates - this role oversees the Canva account for the company)
• Experienced in editing short-form video and photo content using tools such as Canva, CapCut or Adobe
• Publish and format content across platforms including MyBeacon App, OptiSigns, SharePoint, PowerPoint and email (Leena AI or CRM systems)
• Support multiple departments with project communication, events, and engagement programs with frequent updates to microsites and the employee intranet (SharePoint)
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Leaders and Frontline teams to execute priorities and manage projects independently
• Responsible for creating and sending company email campaigns, texts, announcements and content regularly and with short notice
• Understand of branding guidelines and inclusive company values in all content creation

• Weekly MyBeacon App posts (graphics and copy)
• Digital signage slides for locations and campaigns
• Slide decks for regional and cross departmental calls
• Owning the Communications inbox, handling requests, deliverables and project timelines
• Canva-designed assets for company wide use
• Short-form videos (30-90 seconds) for internal storytelling
• Edited photos and captions from events and site visits
Key Skills & Experience
• High level writing and editing skills
• Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe or similar)
• Comfort working across multiple digital platforms
• Understanding engagement metrics to help improve future work
• Confident in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams, Outlook)
• Experience using AI tools and technology to simplify and enhance communication
• Effective organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable traveling occasionally to site locations
• Video/multimedia editing experience (CapCut, Canva, Adobe, or similar)
• 3 + years of experience within communications is preferred
