Description:Wire Winding Trainee

Reports to:

Supervisor

FLSA Status:

Hourly Non-exempt

Pay Range:

Based on experience

Schedule:

40 Hours per Week

Position Summary

The Wire Winding trainee is responsible for correct loading of components in a high volume automotive organization. It includes precision work producing parts in a safe, efficient way while maintaining high quality.

Key Responsibilities

Set-up and Operate assigned equipment on a daily basis, such as:

  • Spring Coiling Machines
  • Wire Un-coiling Equipment
  • Parts Feeding Equipment
  • Part Recipe Creation
  • Powder handling
  • Run automated palletizing equipment
  • Quality checks
  • High volume production
  • Assist other departments as needed

Follows safe practices at all times

Meets quality requirements by identifying the types of defects and likely causes. Immediately reports or corrects quality concerns as appropriate

Completes preventative maintenance (TPM’S) tasks as scheduled or as necessary

Measures parts to ensure a high level of accuracy, reproducibility and repeatability using:

  • Digital micrometers
  • Bench Gauges
  • Dial indicators
  • Digital calipers
  • Weight Scales
  • Metric measurements
  • Keyence IM

Will complete both hands on and automated inspection of parts

  • Completed the inspection of parts and documents
  • Read and execute the completion of routing packets
  • SPC chart data
  • Understanding of math equations.
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Previous manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment.

A high school diploma or equivalent with a solid mechanical knowledge is required. Vocational training in a machining related area is strongly preferred.

Bleistahl can provide internal and external training as required, in circumstances the candidate does not have all qualifications.

Physical Demands

Required to stand for long periods of time and move about the facility

Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs

Required to use safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific areas of the plant.

Work Environment

Works primarily in a plant environment

Exposed to any number of elements.

Other

Perform other duties as assigned.
