Job description

Description:

This position is for a Consultant with a strength in data visualization, user interface/experience and data storytelling for business and IT organizations. The Consultant will work with diverse clients ranging from small and medium size enterprises to Fortune 100 firms. Working in a team environment with internal and Client stakeholders, the consultant will develop, analyze, and optimize data visualization and user interfaces. This involves coordinating data analytics, data storytelling and user interface development activities within a client's organization.

Engagements are usually longer in duration, which allows for the consultant to oversee the implementation of his/her process improvement recommendations.

Responsibilities:

The Consultant will perform the following job responsibilities in addition to others as required for each project:

  • Manages and implements data visualization, user interface/experience and data storytelling within their assigned projects.
  • The Consultant is the primary resource to project teams in support of all data visualization, user interface/experience and data storytelling initiatives. The Consultant will work with the project team and interact with the client for.
  • The Consultant will oversee the implementation of data visualization, user interface/experience and data storytelling recommendations data source evaluation, data modeling, data storytelling and user interface/experience design and implementation with the client and work with other consultants to coordinate all facets of these initiatives
  • Mentor and coach team members on the fundamentals of implementation of data visualization, user interface/experience and data storytelling.
  • Data analytics and metrics development. Develop Key Performance Indicators for the current state, and track KPIs during and after implementation of process improvement recommendations

General Consultant Qualifications:

Qualified candidates for Consultant Level positions will have the following qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in technical field with two years of professional experience, or Graduate Degree, or equivalent in combination of education and/or experience
  • Strong skills in presentation, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated success in analysis driven problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and influence without authority
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive materials and information
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with client personnel
  • Expertise with Microsoft Power BI data visualization platform; Microsoft Power Platform experience bonus
  • Expertise in data analytics, data presentation, and KPI/dashboard development
  • Expertise in user interface/user experience evaluation/design/development


Travel Requirements:

  • Remote Work opportunities; with up to 25% in the office and/or travel to clients.
