Marketing & Data Analyst II

POSITION OBJECTIVE 

As part of the Polyolefins Staff Team, this role supports the Polyolefins Business Division by driving data-driven initiatives and strategic analysis. The Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for architecting and maintaining robust ETL pipelines, designing scalable data models, and delivering high-impact BI solutions. This role will leverage databases and source information to analyze trends and identify performance gaps through specialized visualizations.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Manage and streamline the acquisition of structured and unstructured data, ensuring high standards of data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through proactive validation.
  • Design and maintain ETL processes and application integrations; troubleshoot data flow issues across multiple sources to ensure system reliability.
  • Build and optimize comprehensive dashboards and trend reports; translate complex datasets into visual key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.
  • Standardize and maintain documentation for data workflows and system configurations; contribute to team growth by sharing technical insights and identifying process improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and provide system solutions that address specific operational challenges.
  • Execute both ad hoc requests and long-term projects with minimal supervision; deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making across the division.
  • Coordinate and deliver monthly/quarterly P&L, divisional performance reports, and other special analysis reports, providing clear summaries for management and leadership in Taiwan.
  • Act as primary PIC in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4~5+ years of relevant experience in related fields; experience within the petrochemical industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics or related field. Master’s degree in related field is highly preferred.

Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job 

  • Advanced proficiency in data manipulation, scripting, and statistical analysis. 
  • Proven expertise in developing ETL pipelines, process automation, and high-impact data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy, usability, and integrity.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to understand their data needs, address concerns and provide insight.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams to optimize ERP systems, data reporting, and UI/UX interfaces.
  • Identify and define complex problems, gather relevant data, establish key facts, and derive valid, actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent English communication skills are required. Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred to support cross-regional business reporting in Taiwan.
