Hydraulic Repair Territory Sales Representative - Oil & Gas Equipment
Midland, TX Full-Time
Overview
We're seeking a technically strong Fluid Power professional to manage and grow an established territory with a focus on hydraulic component repair and service for oil & gas equipment.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the critical nature of hydraulic system reliability in oilfield operations and enjoys helping customers extend equipment life through repair, rebuild, and technical support solutions.
You'll inherit a solid customer base with immediate revenue, along with opportunity to expand repair, service, and aftermarket support programs.
What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow established accounts with a focus on hydraulic repair, rebuild, and service solutions
  • Identify new opportunities for component repair (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders) and new opportunities for replacement components
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for diagnosing hydraulic system issues and recommending repair vs. replacement strategies
  • Work closely with internal shop, engineering, and operations teams to deliver high-quality repair services
  • Develop proposals, quotes, and scope for repair, overhaul, and service contracts
  • Support customers with failure analysis, troubleshooting, and system improvement recommendations
  • Build long-term relationships as a trusted advisor focused on uptime, reliability, and cost control

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in hydraulics / fluid power, with strong exposure to repair, service, or maintenance
  • Proven understanding of:
    • Hydraulic component repair (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders)
    • High-pressure systems used in oil & gas, frac, drilling, or production equipment
    • Hydraulic schematics and troubleshooting
  • Experience in a customer-facing role (sales, service, applications, or field support)
  • Ability to diagnose issues and recommend repair vs. replacement solutions
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with technical shop teams
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing a territory independently

Preferred
  • Experience supporting oilfield equipment (frac pumps, power units, BOPs, drilling rigs, etc.)
  • Background with a distributor, repair facility, OEM, or service provider
  • Familiarity with major hydraulic brands (Bosch Rexroth, Parker, Eaton, Danfoss, etc.)
  • Experience with failure analysis, contamination control, and hydraulic testing
  • Fluid Power Certification (IFPS)
