Our client a leading fund admin services providers is executing a multi-phase transformation program to modernize its fund accounting, reporting, and data management ecosystem. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Business Analyst with strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct to support data discovery, reconciliation, and design activities. This role focuses on understanding existing Intacct configurations, APIs, data models, and accounting workflows — extracting critical metadata, mapping data relationships, and helping design the future accounting platform, integration and reporting architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document existing Sage Intacct configurations, including chart of accounts, entities, dimensions, and reporting structures.
  • Extract and map Intacct data models including GL transactions, sub-ledgers, journal entries, allocation and reporting feeds.
  • Review current workflows and business rules in Intacct to identify automation or reconciliation improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with fund accounting teams to understand how Intacct is used across funds (RE, Credit, FoF, parallel funds) for capital activities, valuations, and reporting.
  • Support data extraction, cleansing, and reconciliation exercises during discovery and proof-of-concept phases.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to analyse data exports, APIs, and reporting objects for future-state data integration.
  • Create process maps and data flow diagrams to illustrate current-state Intacct data journeys.
  • Validate trial balances, GL postings, and account mappings against investor-level schedules and PCAP reports.
  • Partner with domain SMEs and architects to design target-state data models and support migration planning.
  • Contribute to requirements definition for data remediation and future automation use cases (e.g., waterfall validation, capital account reconciliation).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–12 years of experience in financial systems or fund accounting process analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Intacct data structures, APIs, chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, and journal logic.
  • Experience performing data mapping and reconciliation between Intacct and other financial systems (e.g., Investran, Yardi, Paxus, or GL extracts).
  • Understanding of fund accounting concepts (capital calls, distributions, management fees, unrealized gains/losses, investor-level accounting).
  • Ability to extract and analyze Intacct reports, exports, or API-based data to derive insights.
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills – process maps, data lineage, and data dictionary creation.
  • Proven ability to work with both technical and accounting teams, translating between system data and business meaning.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL basics, or BI tools for data analysis and validation preferred.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Exposure to fund administration or private equity accounting environments.
  • Experience with data remediation or system migration programs involving financial platforms.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and consolidation logic.
