Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a Data Remediation Analyst/Engineer focused on improving CMDB data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with governance standards. The individual will perform comprehensive data analysis, cleansing, normalization, validation, and remediation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts for report generation.
  • Work with relational databases, with a preference for experience in Postgres.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data privacy and security by implementing proper data segmentation and access controls.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing reports and data pipelines for performance and accuracy.
  • Leverage ServiceNow for reporting purposes, including creating and customizing reports as needed.
  • Participate in ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Analyze data trends and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Document reporting processes, data models, and workflows for future reference.

Required Skills:
  • CMDB data quality management
  • Data cleansing and normalization
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (Postgres preferred)
  • Data reconciliation and validation
  • ServiceNow import and transform maps
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, or other reporting tools
  • Root cause analysis
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau for developing dashboards and visualizations
  • Knowledge of data modeling, data privacy, and data segmentation techniques
  • Understanding of ETL processes and tools

Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of overall experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in report generation and data analysis.

Preferred Skills:
  • ServiceNow CMDB Experience
  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly in the context of reporting
