Volt is immediately hiring for a Logistics Technician for a Data Center in Garland TX. This is a fulltime, permanent position with Volt working on site at the Data Center.

Qualified candidates must be comfortable using computers, learning new software, have previous warehouse or material handling experience, and be comfortable working on their feet in a physical warehouse environment.
As a Material Handler, you will:
  • Ensure all packaging such as cardboard and wraps are disposed of according to company policy
  • Assisting in shipping, receiving, storage and distribution activities for the Data Center to include unboxing and boxing/crating of data center equipment
  • Assisting in inventory control, cycle count programs, de-trashing and breaking down materials & keeping the facility clean and organized
  • Operate manual or electronic/motorized material handling equipment. This equipment can include pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Frequent use of computers, scanners, and mobile devices used in the shipping, receiving, and inventory processes

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a semi regular basis
  • Able to stand and walk for most of your shift
  • Able to work in a team and independently as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings
  • Basic computer skills - Basic typing skills and understanding how to use a computer; familiarization with Apple Pages, Numbers, Keynote and/or Microsoft Suite

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2 years of experience working in any of these fields. Warehouse, material handling, or shipping/receiving.
  • Above average knowledge of computers and technology.
  • Experience operating forklifts.

Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
