How does a data protection advisor typically collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance?

A Data Protection Advisor works closely with departments such as IT, Legal, HR, and Operations to assess data processing activities and ensure compliance with data protection regulations. To thrive as a Data Protection Advisor, you need a strong understanding of data protection laws (such as GDPR), risk assessment, and compliance management, often supported by a degree in law, IT, or a related field.
