Team Overview

The Data Operations team is responsible for collecting, monitoring, and managing critical data from external providers and clients, ensuring it flows accurately and reliably into TransUnion systems. This data directly powers customer-facing products, making the team's work essential to business continuity and revenue. The team also plays a key role in identifying and resolving data pipeline issues, partnering cross-functionally to maintain high data quality and availability.
This role reports directly to the Manager of the Enterprise Applications and Programming division. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

  • The Senior Data Operations Analyst role is a wonderful opportunity to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Onboarding, managing, analyzing, and validating the quality of data across multiple environments
  • Manage data applications across multiple platforms
  • Monitor day-to-day data operations and operational processes
  • Configure and maintain data flows, application jobs, and scheduled processes
  • Analyze data to identify data quality issues and application deficiencies
  • Investigate operational issues and perform root-cause analysis
  • Create and review reports to assess the operational health of production applications
  • Assist in the development and expansion of data quality programs and initiatives
  • Prepare and present analysis results to business partners and stakeholders

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow data flows and onboarding procedures
  • Experience analyzing and validating large volumes of data
  • Experience troubleshooting data operations processes
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and documentation skills

Required Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL, including SQL Server Management Studio, PostgreSQL (pgAdmin), or Google BigQuery
  • Ability to read and interpret data reports using Tableau or similar BI tools

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $67,500.00 - $112,500 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
