FRS VAK SOCCENT position
NIGHTWING is seeking a Part-time employee (rotational) to work as a VAK Field Service Representative in support of a DoD contract providing technical equipment advisory and support for SOCCENT (Iraq).
The work will be in Amman, Jordan.
While deployed, the required work day is 7 days/10 hours per day for a minimum of 90-day rotations.
** An active Top Secret clearance is required. **
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Mentor and advise senior military personnel on various equipment, technical capabilities and employment Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs)Assist in the development and implementation of Concepts of Operations (CONOPs)Provide sustainment training as needed on specialized technical equipment Coordination with RBT (SOG) headquarters for specialized program support
Required:
  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Retired or former Special Operations soldier 5 years of United States military experience in a similar capacity
  • Recent combat experience
  • Experience with or technical information collection equipment to support War on Terrorism goals
  • Experience with web-based applications including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and various viewing software programs such as: FalconView, Google Earth, C2PC, Streets and Trips, and Map Point
  • The ability to travel independently and operate for periods of time without supervision
  • Must be able to transport a 35 pound load with no assistance
  • Work will involve CONUS and OCONUS travel requirements to support Unit

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to significant knowledge of Nightwing projects, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
An active and transferable Active U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
