We are seeking a Finance-Technology leader with strong finance process expertise and know-how on AI adoption in Finance to modernize finance operations, enable advanced analytics, and embed AI into Finance and Procurement processes. This role connects Finance and IT to streamline data flows, reporting, and insights across ERP, consolidation, and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will:
(1) drive AI experimentation and scale adoption of AI capabilities across Finance and the broader enterprise
(2) lead finance technology support for M&A due diligence and post-close integration, and
(3) develop and own the target-state architecture and maturity roadmap for finance systems at a large public company-charting an optimal path from current-state capabilities to a scalable, governed, and standardized future state.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Process Optimization
  • Partner with Controllership, FP&A, and Treasury to assess and improve end-to-end finance processes.
  • Identify opportunities within SAP (and related systems) to automate, standardize, and streamline processes, reducing manual effort and close cycle times.
  • Management consulting approach to end-to-end process design, controls embedment
  • Ideally have understanding of SAP or ERP charts of Accounts and ability to build approaches to integrate data from multiple ERP's, facilitate M&A activity
  • Ensure process designs meet management reporting needs.
  • Provide thought leadership on best practices in finance operating models, embedding governance and compliance.

M&A Due Diligence & Integration
  • Lead finance technology due diligence workstreams for M&A transactions, including current-state process and systems assessment, data quality review, and identification of key risks and dependencies.
  • Partner with Corporate Development, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, FP&A, IT, and external advisors to define diligence scope, timelines, and deliverables; synthesize findings into executive-ready readouts.
  • Evaluate target ERP/EPM/reporting landscapes and quantify effort/cost to integrate, migrate, or operate in a transitional state.
  • Develop Day 1 / Day 100 finance systems readiness plans, including close/reporting continuity, data integration approach, security/access considerations, and controls alignment.
  • Own post-close finance systems integration roadmap and drive execution in coordination with the finance transformation and enterprise architecture teams.

Data Modernization & Architecture
  • Partner with IT and enterprise data teams to optimize data pipelines into the data warehouse/lake (AWS, Azure).
  • Drive AI experimentation in Finance (e.g., close automation, variance explanation, forecasting, cash application, controls testing) by identifying high-value use cases, standing up pilots, measuring impact, and scaling successful solutions into standard operating processes.
  • Lead adoption of AI across the company by establishing an intake and prioritization model, partnering with business and IT product teams, defining governance (risk, controls, model stewardship), and driving change management, training, and value realization.
  • Develop and own the finance systems architecture for a large public company (ERP, EPM/consolidation, planning, reporting/BI, integration, and data platforms), including target-state design principles, standards, and reference architectures.
  • Create and maintain a multi-year maturity roadmap from current state to target state, including sequencing, dependencies, investment cases, and measurable outcomes (cycle-time reduction, automation rate, control effectiveness, and data quality).
  • Define and enforce data governance and stewardship frameworks for finance, ensuring high-quality, standardized data across ERP, consolidation, and reporting layers.
  • Enable integration between SAP, OneStream, and analytics tools to provide a single source of truth.

Analytics & Reporting Enablement
  • Lead the design and delivery of Power BI dashboards and analytics solutions for Finance leadership and business partners.
  • Design and implement KPIs and reporting frameworks that improve financial transparency across business units.
  • Enable self-service analytics while ensuring robust governance, accuracy, and control.
  • Build frameworks for predictive and scenario-based reporting to support decision-making in liquidity and financial planning.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems; MBA/CPA preferred
  • 20+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, ERP Finance Process Optimization, or Finance Systems leadership.
  • Experience with management consulting Finance Transformation positions -e.g. Big 4 Consulting companies
  • Strong knowledge of core finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C, FP&A, Treasury).
  • Proven experience with ERP systems and consolidation platforms
  • Experience with ideation and adoption of AI solutions in Finance processes - must demonstrate understanding of AI tool capabilities, and hands-on approach to leading enterprise-wide adoption
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or similar tools for reporting and analytics is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data governance, stewardship, and master data frameworks.
  • Exposure to data lake/warehouse environments (AWS).
  • Experience leading AI/advanced analytics initiatives from prototype to production, including adoption planning, governance, and change management.
  • Experience supporting M&A transactions, including finance systems due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution (ERP/EPM/data/reporting).
  • Demonstrated ability to define target-state architecture and deliver a staged maturity roadmap for finance systems in a complex, regulated/public-company environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to partner with senior Finance leaders to drive adoption of process and technology changes.
