Job description

Job Description Onsite/ Remote Hybrid (3 days on site in Auburn Hills, MI) The Advanced Analytics Data Engineer develops, maintains, tests and evaluates data solutions. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Build what the Advanced Analytics Data Architect has designed. Work on implementing complex data projects with a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 3+ years of related experience required. SQL expertise and data modeling experience.

Strong experience with Unix/Linux. ETL and data movement tools experience including: DataStage, Sqoop, and Pivotal Data Loader. Deep knowledge in data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, or information retrieval.

Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data. Knowledge of industry standard BA tools, including Cognos, QlikView, Business Objects, and other tools that could be used for enterprise solutions. Able to work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify requirements.

Ability to tune Hadoop solutions to improve performance and end-user experience. Understanding of how algorithms work and have experience building high-performance algorithms. Enjoy being challenged and to have a desire to solve complex problems on a daily basis.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Requirements: MapReduce experience is a plus. Additional Information / Must Have's: Experience handling / processing large data sets both structured and unstructured Deep knowledge in data mining, information retrieval, and a natural curiosity about the data Expertise in data modeling specifically with less standardized / structured data Three + years of experience Onsite/ Remote Hybrid (3 days on site in Auburn Hills, MI) Does not require driving company vehicle Amount of travel: #IND1 Contract to hire opportunity.
