Engineer -Data Migration and Archival Solutions
Purpose: Provide additional engineering capacity for Mainframe Data Archival and Retention of entire mainframe footprints that adheres to SOX and retention compliance.
Outcome: DB2 Migration, Files Migration, Reports Migration and Technical runbooks that support all portfolio requirements.
Core Skill: Engineer JVM Stack
Required
  • Senior-level development experience in Java and Kotlin
  • Senior-level experience with Messaging platforms (like Kafka) and exposure to microservices based architecture, including consumer and producer implementations and data migration engineering
  • Senior-level experience in building and supporting REST APIs
  • Good database experience with Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
  • Good cloud experience with GCP, GCS and Azure
  • Good experience with ETL design and implementation
  • Ability to ramp up quickly on an existing system and contribute with minimal guidance
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills
  • Availability to work during Minneapolis hours (Central Time)
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate effectively with the TII team
Nice to Nice to have
  • Experience with modular monorepo architecture
  • Experience working on framework-free codebases
  • Ability to work 2 days onsite at the TNC office
General requirements:
  • Develop and test code to deliver functionality that meets the overall business strategy and objectives
  • Deep experience working in an agile environment (e.G. User stories, iterative development, etc.)
  • Build the work needed to implement features from the product backlog
  • Size user storiesโ€ข Unit test code, create automated test scripts, and execute all other testing-related tasks
  • Test deliverables against a user stories acceptance tests
  • Execute necessary project documentation
  • Work closely with other team to ensure that features meet business needs
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
  • Work with infrastructure, security, and other partners
  • 3-5 years in an engineering role
  • 1-3 years participating in agile development
Experience with test-driven development and software test automation
