The Business Process job family focuses on documenting, analyzing, and improving business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support organization-wide transformation initiatives. Roles within this family progress from learning process mapping and analysis techniques to senior responsibilities that include setting standards and coaching team members.   • Assist with interviews, workshops, surveys, and observations to gather information about business processes, workflows, systems, and stakeholder needs.

  • Review business processes and workflows to determine how they can be improved or automated, assess business requirements, and make evidence-based recommendations to support process improvements. 

  • Research and conduct site observations to identify the equipment, methods, and personnel needed for effective processes. 

  • Meet with key stakeholders to set the organization's goals, gather and analyze data and process mapping, and create reports based on recommendations. 

  • Create and maintain process maps, flowcharts, swim lane diagrams, and related documentation for straightforward business processes, typically within a single functional area.

  • Responsible for structuring a large amount of information within a process framework, modeling business processes, and using process/workflow software to create process models. 

  • Collaborate with business and IT leaders to develop new process designs. 

  • Document business process modeling activities for future reference.

  • Demonstrate basic proficiency with software and other tools used in business process mapping.

  • Learn and apply process modeling standards, governance practices, and business process management tools.

  • Examine emerging business best practices and technological developments that can help automate and streamline processes to help the organization perform more efficiently.

  • Follows safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
