We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual with a strong quantitative background and a passion for market-driven decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to work in fast-paced electricity markets, focusing on data analysis, trading strategy development, and risk management.
The position begins with a focus on virtual trading and progressively expands into more advanced trading strategies, including congestion-based financial instruments.
Analyze electricity market data including supply, demand, pricing trends, and grid conditions
Research and develop trading strategies based on market inefficiencies and price fluctuations
Support congestion analysis and identify trading opportunities across different market nodes
Execute trades in day-ahead and real-time markets (virtual trading)
Gradually take ownership of trade execution, strategy development, and risk management
Monitor positions and manage risk exposure to optimize profitability
Develop and utilize quantitative models and tools for forecasting and analysis
Collaborate with team members while also demonstrating independent decision-making ability
